1. Can proofreaders and copy-editors do work for the English language correction service?

Yes you can. We also employ qualified and experienced English language teachers for this.

2. Do proofreaders and copy-editors pay for postage?
A

Sending and receiving online is free. If you have to use Royal Mail or a courier service we will pay all postage costs for work below 50,000 words. This must be included in the invoice you send us so we can reimburse you. You will meet the cost of postage for any work over 50,000 words.

3. Do we check work for individuals?

Yes, we do! We will check any kind of work. Contact us for details.

4. Do we check work online or as a hard copy?
A

We will look at either depending on deadlines and geography. Our Express Service is all done online.

5. Do we offer a satisfaction guarantee?
A

Yes. We will double-check your work to ensure its quality and accuracy. Deadlines and delivery will be confirmed before any work is undertaken.

6. Do we offer our proofreaders and copy-editors a contract?
A

Yes. This is arranged on an individual basis.

7. How can I send my work to you?
A

You can send it online either as an attachment to an email or using Dropbox. Alternatively you can send a hard copy by post which will be returned to you the same way.

8. How do I calculate the number of words in a document?
A

Use the word counting tool on your software. We will always agree with you the number of words in your document before we start work.

9. How do we pay our proofreaders and copy-editors?
A

We pay you once a month on receipt of an invoice. This can be sent online or by post. We pay you either by bank transfer or cheque. We can only pay you on satisfactory completion of the work.

10. How soon will I get my work back?
A

This will be decided on an individual basis. We will agree on a deadline with you and we guarantee to keep to it. Urgent work can be done using our 24 hour Express Service

11. Is there the option of a long-term contract?
A

Yes. These can be arranged on an individual basis.

12. What is Dropbox?
A

We only employ fully qualified and experienced professionals. We have checked their credentials so you don’t have to.
